Ex soldier Rob Reed, wounded and traumatized in Iraq, isolates himself in his London flat. His fiancée, Vanessa Charles is disenchanted with his aggression is given a way out and leaves him to travel across France. She arrives in a picture postcard village nestled in the Luberon mountains where she rejuvenates and comes to terms with her loss. Here she meets a handsome wine-grower, Damien de la Roche and is attracted to this smooth and charming guy, she flirts with him. Returning from a heavy night, Rob find her gone, just a note. Incensed he pulls himself together, hunts her down and moves in as Damien makes a play for his fiance.
