Big Story in a Small City (2006) Reviews
My first Armenian film, very funny.
yea,a great film, and I am the first one who is writing a review. I got it from a local library. the DVD cover didn't look hot and sexy, but it is a film from Armenia, and it is a comedy. that is quite unique, I am glad that I checked out this DVD. I am rating it a 9, I think that the current rating 6.6 is too low. I enjoy watching foreign films, because I can see their regular life, their environment, culture, etc. omg, I have never seen any Armenian film before. i don't even know that they make films before this. now i wonder how many countries in this world actually make films for their own people? I have met Armenian immigrants, they look just like the other white people. the real Armenian people obviously look different than the white people in the USA, the way they dress, the way they act, etc. this film is very funny. It is about dead people, but it is not a sad or scary film at all. those actors exaggerated their act so you can feel funny, i wonder if they are professional actors or just amateurs. they fast forward their street scenes, I wish that they could have showed the Armenian city life in regular speed, so foreigners like me can see that city moment that they captured. this is a well-made comedy. I wonder if someone from Hollywood can make an US version of it in the future.
