Can't Help Falling in Love (2017) Reviews
Best companion to feel good, away from stress, to daydream of finding your own Gabgab or Dos
CHFIL is one of the few Pinoy movies I watched in cinema. Why? Because they usually have heart-wrenching scenes that I am not sure to manage to inside the cinema. And then why did I watch? because I can't wait to see what Kathryn Bernardo will be in this new offer. I am definitely recommending this one for those whose looking for a feel good stories but with depth. true, circumstances in the movie are far-fetched from reality, but not an impossibility. then there are the actors while watching, you just can't help to imagine them acting the same goofiness and just be silly in real life. you can't help to wished it to be the reality. you sharing time and space with them, witnessing their moments while they are falling in love with each other. you just can't help to wish to find the same kind of love, to find your own Gabgab, to find your own Dos.
Worth it
Rom-com at its finest. I liked everything about the movie, the story-line, the twist, the acting, the cinematography, and etc. Also I liked how the actors leveled up. So yeah, This movie is really a must watch movie NAPAKAGANDA. WORTH IT!
Mediocre, Wouldn't really recommend to others.
The story was poorly written. The only reason I didn't give this a 1-star rating is because of the PG-rated jokes. The story is rushed; Kathryn's character is the only one that had any character development. The whole cast wasn't even introduced at all. Kathryn and Daniel's acting is still mediocre. To sum it up, "Can't Help Falling in Love" is just another "Barcelona: A Love Untold" with the clichéd formula for the story. In my opinion, the movie only gained popularity from its "kilig" moments and fan-service. Although, the movie did teach some life lessons. ~~~ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE~~ ***SPOILERS AHEAD, STOP READING IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS :C*** The story kicked off with a plot-hole. The conflict was caused by a stupid mistake: Gab and Dos signed marriage papers in a nightclub. First, how do you even get MARRIAGE PAPERS in a nightclub? Did they just pull it from thin air? And after they signed it, shouldn't the papers be brought to an office? The papers should be lost in that populated, busy, and loud area. Does signing a piece of paper make something legal that fast? No, it has to go through a process before it is approved. Anything that follows that was uninteresting and unrealistic. The movie did teach one lesson: Be independent. If anyone should make your decisions, it should be you.
Breathtakingly real
I never leave reviews but this movie calls for one. The chemistry of the 2 leads is magical! You can see the love literally radiating off his face when he looks at her. This is an amazing film. Equal parts comedy, and romance. Absolute perfection
I'm no critic but...
I'm not critic, as a matter of fact this is the one time I've even left a review, but this movie... Was just that amazing! Stop here if you haven't seen it by the way. I have so many reasons for loving the movie, and I'm still on a high from watching it, but I've honestly never loved a romantic comedy as much as I have this one. And its my first Filipino movie at that! For one thing, they way they handled their relationships and problems (comedy aspect aside) was so breathtakingly mature! They deal with the consequences of their actions and attempt to be honest with one another. The way in which Gab broke up with her fiance was one of the most mature breakup scenes I've ever seen in a movie. And oh my God, Dos? Dos has DESTROYED me...I need a man that looks at me the way Dos looks at Gab. The chemistry and acting of the two leads pushed this movie above and beyond. If I honestly think about it, the premise of the movie could have been handled so badly. But with these two gracing the screen, a simple romantic comedy became a heart-wrenching, breath-takingly REAL romance. Long story short, I've found a favorite romantic comedy, and now I understand why some people can watch the same romantic movies over and over again, because this is one movie I'll never get tired of.
