• A drunk driving incident that sets a plan of revenge in motion.

  I am sorry, but this movie has a bad premise that side tracks the drunk driving issue and does not emphasize the consequences enough. This movie shows more sympathy to drunk driver's family because of the financial burden they may have to bear and the repercussions from the victim's family (even though it maybe somewhat justified). Instead they choose to examine the retribution by victim's family, which is understandable up to a point. The believability of the financial arrangements is lacking because both parties want to leave the lawyers out of it. What I really found disappointing was the end where she gives a sanctimonious speech, stressing that she would take over his rehab and he would learn to walk again. IMO, it was a poor attempt to make her feel redeemed.

  Anyone who's been thru tradegy will relate. This move may make u cry. I loved it. Another winner from lifetime. They could have closed out her roommates story but that's nitpicky. Good stuff.

• Could have used some tenderization at the end

  The players: Lifetime Psycho™ (LP): Alex. Rebellious Teen™ (RT): Jennifer, who later becomes a Lifetime Heroine™ (LH), so I'll acronym her the RT/LH. Her mom is actually more aligned with being a LH, but does not get enough screen time to qualify. The LP is the loser brother of Colin, a track star. The RT/LH lost her dad to a disease and blames her mom. The RT/LH takes up drinking and in an improbable crash cripples Colin. She is sent to rehab. The LP also has issues with his parents. The plot comes down to the LP seeking revenge on the RT/LH. He gets a job as a delivery driver at the rehab facility where she is staying. When his efforts at getting her thrown out fail, her talks her into taking a ride with him, which sets us up the Female In Jeopardy™ sequence near the end. The LP as is typically the case has lots of booze and drugs, he used both to spike a drink of another delivery driver to get his job, and he had planted both at the rehab facility. He drugs the RT/LH and as is also typical does a lot of talking. His final plan unlike most LPs is not to gank her, but to break both of her hands so she is crippled like his brother. To do so, he makes use of a wooden meat tenderizer. The end of this reminds me of an episode of Police Squad where Leslie Nielsen is involved in a fight and is shown as being OK. Then when he lifts his head he is beaten and bruised. There was a fight where the LP kicked her into a wall, and she had no injuries afterward. The LP never hit the RT/LH with the tenderizer (I wish he had done so, instead he talked a lot). The RT/LH uses a convenient frying pan to hit him. Despite him never hitting her, when she is in the hospital, all of her fingers are broken, she has a cut on her mouth, and abrasions on her head that were not there earlier. Continuity like this raises the Lifetime movie score. A zero body count offsets that though. Real movie score: 2/10 (higher is better). Lifetime movie score: 8/10 (higher is stupider).

• Watchable ...

  If you have nothing else to do on a rainy day, this is a watchable movie. Acting is so so. My only complaint is the lead actress is on the chubby side for being a pretty little addict.
