  Intense movie, never a dull moment. Great how it can be an action film and a chick flick without ever feeling like it. Can't wait to see it again! There are many subtleties that make the movie more interesting. Makes a person really think about the "strings" that bind them and what lengths you would go to, to protect and cherish those strings. The casting was right on, capturing perfect looks and personalities for the roles. Again, keeps you interested the entire movie. Great to see a real entertainment movie again. One that would be remembered and deserving of awards.

• First reaction: I want to see it again!

  I saw this stunning film at the Breckenridge Film Festival, where it garnered well-deserved praise and awards. The story involves choices... and consequences. Each step taken by the main character leads him further into a world he (and we) don't understand. Gorgeous cinematography and deft editing seduce us into his dark reality. Clarity comes in lightening flashes. Directors Ben Foster and Mark Dennis attack an intriguing "what if" scenario with jaw-dropping originality. The visually arresting wild ride is enhanced by outstanding music. (The Breckenridge Festival jury was sufficiently impressed by Billy Harvey's song, "Greatest Escape", to create a special award in its honor). I'm looking forward to a wider release of "Strings", because I can't wait to tell people: go see it!

• Unpredictable thriller with a heart! Not what we expected

  My boyfriend and I caught STRINGS at the Long Island Film Expo a couple weeks ago and have been talking about it ever since. There's something about this movie that sits with you for a while, kind of like Memento and the Salton Sea. Maybe it's the heavily-tattooed protagonist being soft-spoken and having women issues in all three of them :) It didn't feel like an independent movie at all, the pacing and production quality were Hollywood caliber and the story was something that, for the first time in years, my boyfriend said "I've never seen a movie like that"....I wish we could buy a DVD! We've told all our friends about it and getting to meet the talented filmmakers was such a great experience. The cast was incredible, the story was incredible, the directing was incredible, I can't say enough good things about this movie. If the STRINGS people are reading this, thank you for making my boyfriend cry!

• Amazing 1st film from two industry up and comers

  Strings is a great movie that has suspense, romance and action. The film has a very good cast that gives it a professionalism you don't find often in indie movies. Also, the score is just amazing. It really takes the film to another level. Mark Dennis and Ben Foster did an unbelievable job considering that this is first feature film. I'm excited to see what comes next from the pair. I'm pretty sure Stings is being show at a wide variety of film festivals around the country and I highly recommend you checking it out if you can. I saw it at the Breckenridge Festival, but I think they have a full list of the showings on their site.

• Outstanding Movie / Amazing Staff

  STRINGS...soon to be a giant! I had the chance to discover this masterpiece at the White Sands International Film Festival - August 2011 -. Genuine cast, smart trailer, great story - Kudos Mark - it has it all, a nice twist half way through the movie, and a load of emotions. Also, it feels good to see some action without a succession of special effects. Mark, Ben and the rest of the team are true talent. There is no doubt in my mind that the movie will hit the big screen across the country, if not more. Congrats on your Audience choice award @ the white sands film festival.
